DAS Photonics develops cutting-edge solutions for defense and space exploration. In 2021, the organization joined the CUCO project, a major research program, to test the value of quantum computing for analyzing signal intelligence gathered via photonics. To support the project, DAS Photonics deployed a Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 server, with three NVIDIA® RTX™ A6000 GPUs. The solution provides the massive performance needed to compare the performance of classical versus quantum algorithms at high speed—generating valuable research results sooner.

Using a proprietary computer vision application, supported by Lenovo ThinkEdge SE70 edge computing devices and NVIDIA® Jetson™ Xavier™ NX technology, Sonny’s can automatically spot when vehicles get too close in a car wash tunnel and take action to prevent collisions. It keeps drivers safer and car washes running at top capacity, leading to better customer satisfaction and higher revenues for car wash operators.
